Dr. Kent Lyon is board certified in Endocrinology and Metabolism and Internal medicine. Before moving to Atlanta, Dr. Lyon was practicing in Woodlands, TX. Dr. Lyon brings over 25 yrs of Endocrine expertise to our clinic.
Dr. Lyon received his medical degree from The University of California, Los Angeles School of Medicine. (UCLA School of Medicine). He completed his internship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Dr. Lyon completed internal medicine residency at Portsmouth Naval Hospital at the Portsmouth Naval Hospital in Virginia during his six year enlistment in the Navy. He completed the Endocrine Fellowship at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. He served his last 2 years as staff endocrinologist at the Oakland Naval Hospital in California.
Dr. Lyon enjoys treating all kinds of Endocrine issues including Adrenal Disorders, Hypogonadism, Pituitary Disorders, Post Gastric Bypass Metabolic Management and a variety of male and female hormone issues.
Dr. Lyon speaks English and Spanish.
When not helping his patients, Dr. Lyon enjoys spending time with his family of 4 children and 3 grandchildren. He also enjoys cooking with his wife. He likes to read, cycling and growing exotic tropical fruit trees.
