We are excited to announce the addition of Dr. Sunitha Girish to our endocrinology team. She will see patients at our Kennesaw location. Dr. Girish is board certified in endocrinology and internal medicine.

Dr. Girish is a board‑certified physician in Endocrinology and Metabolism, Internal Medicine, the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine.
She is committed to delivering compassionate, patient‑centered care with a focus on whole‑health and improving long‑term quality of life. Prior to joining our practice, she spent nearly a decade serving in several major healthcare systems across the Atlanta area, bringing extensive clinical experience in managing a broad spectrum of endocrine disorders. Her expertise includes diabetes, thyroid disease, parathyroid and pituitary disorders, metabolic bone disease, and other general endocrinology conditions. She incorporates evidence‑based treatment strategies and the latest technologies to provide comprehensive, individualized care.
Dr. Girish completed her Endocrinology Fellowship at the University of South Carolina/Prisma Health, where she served as Chief Fellow in a leadership role. Her training also included clinical and research work at the Veterans Affairs Health care system. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Mercer University/Atrium Health in Macon, Georgia.
Her passion for medicine began early, inspired by her father, a primary care physician whose dedication and compassion shaped her commitment to patient care. She graduated with distinction from a respected medical school in southern India.
Dr. Girish is an active member of the American Diabetes Association and the Endocrine Society. She is proficient in English and Kannada, and conversational in Hindi and Telugu.
Outside of her clinical work, she enjoys spending time in nature with family and friends, traveling, hiking, and gardening. She also practices yoga, mindfulness, and meditation.
